Christina Aguilera took time off from the singing competition show “The Voice” to welcome her baby girl, Summer Rain Rutler, in August.
Now the singer is ready to get back to work on season eight of “The Voice”.
Carson Daly confirmed during an appearance on the Today show on Tuesday that Aguilera will be returning to the show.
She will join Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.
There was no mention of No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani, who was filling in for Christina, during season seven.
This will be the first time that Christina will work with “Happy” singer Pharrell, who joined the popular reality singing show this year. His return to the series for a second season in a row ends the show’s cycle of rotating two coaches in every other season.
Christina has been laying low since welcoming her daughter Summer in August. We imagine she is bonding with her baby girl and trying to get back to pre-pregnancy shape.
Are you excited to hear Christina will rejoin the show? We are but will also be sad to see Gwen Stefani go. It would be great if both women would star on season 8. It appears we will have to wait and see!
