Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton of “The Voice” certainly had a leg up on Jimmy Fallon in their lip synching contest on Wednesday night’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
The singers visited the show to promote the upcoming seventh season of “The Voice” and had some fun miming a few songs. Blake even showed off his tap dancing skills!
Gwen, 44, looked stunning as ever as she appeared with 38-year-old country star Blake Shelton (and his precious dimples).
Jimmy introduced the duo after telling his New York City studio audience that he needed two more contestants for his lip synching contest.
Blake was up first and lip synched to the 1980s synthesized Taco version of the Irving Berlin song “Puttin’ On The Ritz”.
Fallon then performed to Ellie Goulding’s song “Burn”, before handing the mic over to the lovely Gwen.
The blonde beauty lip-synched the Carly Rae Jepsen hit song “Call Me Maybe” and danced around the stage.
We love the look on Jimmy’s face when Gwen was dancing up on him. Blake looks a tad jealous!
Blake then performed the Starship classic “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”.
Jimmy raised the stakes with his lip synching of the1944 song “Cocktails: For Two by Spike Jones as he expertly handled the song’s horn-honking and other sound effects.
Gwen then introduced the final song of their little battle, “Endless Love” by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.
Stefani began singing Lionel’s opening lyrics and was soon joined by Blake who lip synched Diana’s parts.
Jimmy declared Gwen and Blake the winners immediately after their duet.
Season seven of “The Voice” premieres on Monday with new coach Pharrell Williams and veteran Adam Levine joining Gwen and Blake in the big red chairs.
