Shakira confirms she's expecting again

Shakira has confirmed she is pregnant with her second child.

We told you last month that the 37-year-old singer was expecting and the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer has now confirmed the happy news.

The singer and her soccer player partner Gerard Pique revealed the baby news to the Spanish version of Cosmopolitan.

Shakira got right to the point, saying, “‘Yes, I’m pregnant.”

The publication’s September issue also reveals the couple are expecting a boy.

Shakira also gushed that her relationship with 27-year-old Gerard is perfect and they couldn’t be more in love.

The singer, who has been in a relationship with the sportsman since 2010, said, “Seeing me in love is a constant state, there are no questions as the answer is simply there.”

Shakira and Gerard already have 19-month-old son named Milan together and are overjoyed about becoming parents again.

The rumors of her pregnancy started after she performed during the World Cup, appearing to be sporting a baby bump.

She remained silent on the pregnancy until now.

Earlier this year, she claimed she was too busy to have another baby right now.  But she admitted she wanted many more children.

She told Latina in its April issue, “If it weren’t because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already.  I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard – my own football team”.

Shakira said of being a parent, “I used to go in circles around an idea, but since he arrived I don’t have much time – I have to rush back home – so he has helped me learn how to focus. When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world. You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel.”

Congrats!
