Christina Aguilera confirmed the birth of her daughter on Saturday and revealed the named of her baby girl.
The singer took to Twitter to announce her happy news, revealing they named their baby Summer Rain Rutler.
Aguilera tweeted, “So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world.”
The name is very pretty, but we must admit it sounds a bit like a feminine hygiene product.
Christina did not disclose other birth details, such as her daughter’s weight or length.
The 33-year-old singer checked into her private and deluxe birthing suite at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles on Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
She had a cesarean section with her fiance Matt Rutler present for their exciting delivery.
Aguilera is already mom to six-year-old son Max from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman. The pair married in 2005 and split five years later, with their divorce being finalized in April 2011.
Christina and Matt announced they were expecting a baby together in February, a week after sharing news of their engagement in February.
Aguilera is taking time off from “The Voice”, but she plans to return to the NBC talent series for its eighth season.
Congrats to Christina and Matt Rutler on their little bundle of joy!
