Actors spend lots of time together on set so it’s no surprise that they occasionally get on each other’s nerves.
Big egos and 12-hour days filming can make for some major drama. These sets of stars had such a rough time that they have refused to ever work together again.
Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte worked together on “I Love Trouble”, bickering so much that they had to shoot some scenes separately.
Roberts said Nolte is “completely disgusting” and Nolte claims that “America’s sweetheart” is “not a nice person.
Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano
Shannen Doherty has a bad reputation as being difficult on set and it appears things were no different on the series “Charmed”.
Doherty left her role on “Charmed” due to the increased tensions between her and co-star Milano. The studio even brought in a mediator to attempt and work out their issues, which obviously didn’t help.
Alyssa said later that “there were days when we would ignore each other”, calling the whole thing “high school drama”.
James Franco and Tyrese Gibson
James Franco is a method actor and Tyrese Gibson thought he was very “rude” on the set of “Annapolis”.
Gibson claims that Franco would really hit him during their fight scenes. Tyrese previously said, “I never want to work with him again, and I’m sure he feels the same way. It felt very personal.”
Franco tried to apologize for his actions while on set, claiming he was in character constantly. Tyrese doesn’t appear to buy what James is selling.
In fact, Tyrese told Elle magazine that if he could choose one celebrity’s house to blow up while they were at the grocery store, he would choose James Franco’s house. Wow!
William Baldwin and Sharon Stone
Sharon Stone and William Baldwin starred together in “Sliver” and totally hated one another. In fact, the actress bit down hard on Baldwin’s tongue and he couldn’t talk properly for several days. The film also tanked at the box office.
Bill Murray and Lucy Liu
Bill Murray and Lucy Liu didn’t get along on the set of “Charlie’s Angels” and Bill slammed Lucy’s acting skills.
Murray reportedly interrupted a scene to ask Lucy Liu, “What in the [bleep] are you doing here. You can’t act!” Liu reportedly tried to attack him as the two screamed at each other, and Murray refused to come back for the sequel. Bernie Mac replaced him in the follow-up movie, “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”
Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger
Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger were reportedly at odds on the set of “Terms of Endearment”, which was said to be due to Winger’s substance abuse.
The dispute was cranked up a notch when Winger reportedly passed gas in Maclaine’s direction as a way of giving her the middle finger.
Both actresses were nominated for Best Actress for the film and Shirley won. She took a little dig at Winger in her acceptance speech, saying “I deserve this”.
William Shatner and George Takei
“Star Trek” co-stars William Shatner and George Takei didn’t get along when filming the series, but things haven’t improved over the years.
Shatner once complained about being the only cast member not invited to Takei’s wedding, and Takei more recently called Shatner “the biggest douche.”
Takei recently said that William Shatner is “the biggest douche” and that he is “very self-possessed, self-involved and everything revolves around The Captain.”
Shatner called Takei “sick and psychotic”, saying nobody cared when George came out as gay. No love lost between these two!
