Melissa Etheridge and her partner Linda Wallem both turned 53 on Thursday and got married on Saturday!
The singer tied the knot on Saturday at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.
Melissa confirmed the wedding day by sharing a photo of her feet in black sandals by pretty flowers, writing, “A gorgeous, perfect, beautiful day to get married.”
A guest of the wedding stated, “They were so happy. It was really beautiful.”
The wedding was held outdoors and the singer performed a special song for the “Nurse Jackie” creator.
Melissa, who wore a gray suit while Linda wore a white dress, hinted there might be a special performance at their nuptials.
Etheridge tweeted on Wednesday, “Ok, so I might be singing a brand new song that no one has ever heard to someone special at a intimate gathering Sat..just wanted to share”.
The singer’s four children – Bailey Jean Cypher, 17, Beckett Cypher, 15, and twins Miller Steven Etheridge and Johnnie Rose Etheridge, seven.
Bailey and Beckett are her daughter and son from her relationship with Julie Cypher and Miller and Johnnie Rose are her children with actress Tammy Lynn Michaels.
Celebrities attending the wedding included Jane Lynch, Chelsea Handler, Rosie O’Donnell, Whitney Cummings, Peter Facinelli and Sia.
One guest stated, “The ceremony was such a beautiful start to the night. The setting was perfect. It was something Melissa and Linda wanted early on. It was as perfect as they envisioned.”
Melissa and Linda were friends for over ten years before they began dating in 2010, announcing their engagement last June.
The award-winning musician came out in January 1993 at the Triangle Ball.
