Many of us cringe at the thought of being anywhere near a snake, but Willow Smith, 13, and her brother Jaden allow their pet snakes into their bedrooms.
Their parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, don’t seem to have a problem with it.
An insider revealed that “Willow is obsessed with snakes”, adding that her brother Jaden, 15, “cuddles” with them in bed.
The source adds, “She has 10 sleeping in her room and some aren’t in cages!”
Her older brother Jaden also loves reptiles, referring to them as his “girlfriends”. The source said they slither into his bed and curl up with him.
The “Whip My Hair” singer welcomed her first boa constrictor, Beauty, back in 2008 when she was only 7-years-old.
Their mom Jada Pinkett Smith explained in an interview last July, “I’ve always loved snakes but was afraid of them. But Willow had wanted this one snake forever. She’d go into the pet store and pick it up and wrap it around her. I’d never touched a snake before, and I put out my hand, and Beauty [mimics the snake slithering up her arm]. I’ve been in love with her ever since. I said to Willow, ‘You did Mommy a big favor. You helped me overcome a fear.'”
In May, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were reportedly investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services after a controversial picture of Willow lying in bed with a 20-year-old man caused a stir. We actually find the snakes in bed with the children almost as questionable. Yikes!
