Shannon Leto, the brother of Golden Globe and Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto, was taken into custody on Monday on suspicion of DUI.
Shannon was also cited for an outstanding warrant stemming from driving without a license.
The 30 Seconds to Mars drummer was still in custody on Tuesday morning, being held on $7,500 bail.
The bail is broken down as $5,000 for the DUI and $2,500 for driving without a license.
Shannon Leto’s vehicle stalled out during rush hour on Fairfax Boulevard in Hollywood. The Los Angeles Police Department spotted Shannon and his stalled vehicle at around 7 p.m. and believed Leto showed signs of impairment and arrested him.
Shannon was in the audience when his little brother Jared, the lead singer of their band 30 Seconds To Mars, won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in “The Dallas Buyers Club”.
Leto praised his brother, calling him his “best friend”, in his acceptance speech.
