Singer Richard Marx and his wife, actress and singer Cynthia Rhodes, are divorcing after 25 years of marriage.
The couple separated in July and are currently in the process of divorcing.
Marx, 50, is most known for his songs “Hold On to the Nights” and “Right Here Waiting.” in the 80s and 90s.
His estranged wife Cynthia Rhodes is most known for her role as dance instructor Penny Johnson in the 1987 film “Dirty Dancing”. She starred alongside the late Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.
Cynthia walked away from her career to be a mom and raise her three sons. We’d love to see her make a career comeback. She was awesome!
The announcement of their divorce was first made on “Katie” on Friday, when host Katie Couric remarked Marx was “back on the market.”
“How are you feeling about dating?” Couric asked Marx.
“It’s all brand new to me, so I’m just having fun,” Marx responded.
Marx and Rhodes three sons are following in their footsteps in singing/acting.
