Music producer The Dream, whose real name is Terius Nash, is reportedly wanted by police after an alleged attack on his then-pregnant girlfriend Lydia Nam.
Police want to question Dream, following Lydia’s claims that he “punched, kicked and strangled” her when she was six months pregnant with their son.
The incident reportedly happened back in April 2013 at the Plaza Hotel in New York, just three months before Lydia gave birth.
Lydia didn’t file a police report until November, which happens to be after they split.
Nam didn’t indicate if she sought medical attention after the alleged assault.
A source close to The Dream, 36, insists the assault claims are bogus. In fact, they claim the Canadian woman is “vengeful and plotting to use this alleged crime as a way to extend her visa in the U.S”.
There were also reports she was charged with child endangerment in Canada and even worked as an escort.
But this isn’t the first time Dream has been accused of assault. He was arrested last June following an incident that also involved Nam, but she declined to press charges. The case was then rejected by the District Attorney.
Dream is a famous American producer who has worked with artists including Britney Spears and Rihanna.
The-Dream has five children. He has three children with his ex-wife Nivea, one three-year-old daughter from brief marriage with Christina Milian, and one son with Lydia Nam.
