Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have been together for nearly a decade and have two sons together and are finally considering making their union official.
The couple have reportedly worked out their differences are are reconsidering marriage. You’d think they’d have done that before having kids together.
The Hollywood couple actually planned to tie the knot in 2007, but changed their mind at the last minute.
A source said, “although they’ve ‘had their ups and downs, Naomi and Liev are more in love than they’ve ever been. It’s a big step after all this time, but they’re ready to marry.”
Naomi Watts’ latest box office flop “Diana” is partially behind the renewed interest to get married.
An insider said, “Liev really admired how Naomi rose above the flak she got for Diana – a role he really thought she’d win awards for. She was totally broken-hearted over that movie and Liev has played a huge role in getting her confidence back so she could carry on with four more films she has in production.”
Watts and Schreiber have been together since 2005, parents to two sons, six-year-old Alexander and five-year-old Samuel.
In an interview in 2012, “The Impossible” actress commented how she was happy with the status of her relationship.
Naomi explained, “We’re very much together. We just don’t have that certificate and that’s okay with both of us. Maybe we’ll wake up and go, ‘Hey, let’s do this.’ And maybe not.”
As for Liev, he told Cigar Aficionado magazine, “To me, we’re married, though I guess that, legally, we’re a domestic partnership. I’m just happy we’re a great couple.”
