A note found in the wallet of late Nirvana star Kurt Cobain after his tragic suicide appears to make fun of his marriage vows with Courtney Love.
The handwritten note, which gives a little insight into his relationship with the Hole singer, has been released for the first time since his death in 1994.
The note, written on stationary from San Francisco’s Phoenix Hotel, is a parody of the traditional Christian wedding oath.
The note reads, “Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife. It goes on to say, “even when she’s a bit*h with zits and siphoning all (your) money for doping and whoring”. Ouch!
We’re certain this handwritten note will add fuel to the fire of speculation about the grunge rocker’s suicide. It shows the role his troubled marriage may have played in the final days of his life.
The release of the note by Seattle police is the latest revelation from the department during their review of Cobain’s death.
The very sarcastic nature of the note makes most of us wonder if Kurt Cobain was angry and resentful over his unhappy marriage to Courtney.
Or could it be the unconventional couple’s strange sense of humor about their marriage?
Many fans believe Love was involved in her husband’s death and we’re certain they will notice how different this note is from his handwritten suicide note.
This marriage vow parody calls his wife a “bit*h” with zits, while his alleged suicide note calls Courtney a “goddess…who sweats ambition and empathy”.
Earlier this month on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s suicide, the Seattle Police Department released several never-before-seen photos showing the room where the Nirvana frontman was found dead in April 1994.
A set of photographers made public by police show the troubled singer’s suicide note the way he left it before taking his life April 8, 1994.
CBS News reported that most of the photographs were shot on a 35mm film, which has become discolored over the years, giving the images a greenish hue. A few of the pictures were taken with a Polaroid.
After his suicide, Seattle police decided not to develop the four rolls of film depicting the room where Cobain ended his life . Many fans and conspiracy theorists believed Kurt had been murdered and that police were covering up that fact.
The investigation confirmed that days before his body was discovered Cobain had gone into the greenhouse of his large home and taken a massive dose of heroin. He then shot himself with a 20-gauge shotgun.
It’s odd that Courtney Love actually just released the audio for her song “Wedding Day”:
