James Franco, 35, allegedly tried to hook-up with a 17-year-old girl he was chatting to on Instagram.
Lucy Clode, who is 17 and hails from Dollar in Scotland, shared messages that she claims are from the actor, with pretty convincing evidence.
Lucy was in New York to see the actor on Broadway in “Of Mice And Men”, where she waited outside the theater to meet James Franco.
The young woman shared a selfie on Instagram which shows Franco in the background.
According to the messages, James struck up a conversation with the teen on Instagram and it wasn’t long before he asked her age.
Lucy replied, “Nearly 18, my mum and not if you’re around”, before giving the actor her phone number and trying to make certain it was really him.
James apparently asks, “What’s the hotel? Should I rent a room?” and sends a photo of himself to prove it is him.
She was still not convinced and said it sounded “so dodgy”.
The “This Is The End” actor then shared a picture of himself holding a piece of paper that says her name LUCY.
This all seems rather creepy, even though 17 is actually a legal adult in New York.
But the incident has many wondering if it’s just a publicity stunt for James’ upcoming movie “Palo Alto”, where he happens to play a soccer coach that seduces his 14-year-old baby sitter. In the film she is played by Emma Roberts.
After news of the alleged text exchange with the Scottish schoolgirl, James shared an image to Instagram which showed himself with the words, “Why are you thirsty for underage ones.”
He then wrote alongside the post, which has since been deleted, “I’m not! I hope parents keep their teens away from me. Thank you.”
James Franco recently slammed Lindsay Lohan’s “lie” that she had sex with him, after a list of her conquests was published.
We’re hoping this is just to drum up a frenzy for his new movie. It may be legal but is still a bit shady.
