Big Sean & Naya Rivera: Engagement & Wedding Is Off!

Big Sean calls off wedding

Rapper Big Sean has called off his short-lived engagement to “Glee” actress Naya Rivera.

Sean’s representative has confirmed that the couple has split, but denied Sean’s cheating is to blame.

Big Sean issued a statement through his rep saying, “After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off. The recent rumors and accusations (of infidelity) reported by so-called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”

The couple just announced their engagement six months ago. So what happened?

We’re not certain if there was infidelity involved, but a cryptic tweet posted on Naya’s Twitter was definitely interesting.

Naya Rivera previously revealed that she actually met rapper Big Sean on Twitter, exchanging messages until finally arranging to meet up in person.

They went public with their romance last April and announced their engagement in October.

Rivera told Cosmopolitan magazine in January that she believed the rapper would make “an amazing husband” and “an amazing father one day.”

“He’s so kind to people,” Nay gushed, “but he also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love. We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it’s even sweeter that I’ve found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute.”

Naya attended the Marie Claire “Fresh Faces” event on Tuesday night and her huge engagement ring was noticeably absent.

If there was cheating involved in their split, we’re certainly glad they figured it out sooner rather than later.
