Pharrell Williams had a beautiful reaction while viewing his fans all over the world dancing to his hit song “Happy”, crying tears of joy.
Williams was shown the video during his interview with Oprah Winfrey for “Oprah Prime”. Check out the touching video.
Wiliams was making an appearance on OWN’s “Oprah Prime” on April 13, wearing his signature oversized Vivienne Westwood hat.
Pharrell said of his song “Happy” when it released in June, “Zero airplay, nothing”.
He said, “And next thing you know we put the video on November 21st, all of a sudden, boom”.
Oprah Winfrey then shared a compilation video of fans from countries all over the world dancing to his song.
He tried to compose himself, with Oprah stating, “I was just thinking of your grandmother. I bet she didn’t even imagine that.”
Pharrell explained, “It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that like, people have believed in me for so long, that I could make it to this point to feel that”.
Oprah replied, “I get it. I really get it”.
During the interview, William talked about his road to fame, his song-writing process, and the music that influenced him.
The singer stated, “My best songs come from two different ways. Either when I have a really good gut feeling about something, it’s written in the shower or on a plane.”
The interview also included Pharrell discussing his album “GIRL” and his wedding last year to model Helen Lasichanh.
