Judge Joe Brown was arrested on Monday on contempt of court charges.
Brown was in court representing a client, when he went ballistic and began yelling at a judge. He was arrested after nearly starting a riot in court.

Brown, who is a Democratic candidate for the Shelby County District Attorney General’s office, found himself on the wrong side of the law.
Judge Brown was in court with a client and became angry over delays during a child support hearing. Brown began yelling at Magistrate Hal Horne and refused to put a lid on it.
Brown continued to yell and Horne sentenced him to a day of jail for each act of contempt, a total of five days.
It’s being reported Judge Brown chastised the juvenile court and judge, threatening to take the matter to a judicial review.
The 66-year-old former television judge was taken away in handcuffs from the courtroom.

A witness who was in Courtroom 5 at the time of Brown’s freak-out claimed Brown told the magistrate he had no authority.
Brown was transported to 201 Poplar in Downtown Memphis shortly after 3 p.m., where he will was booked, photographed and fingerprinted.
