Lady Gaga defended her South By South West Festival show, where Gaga had performance artist Millie Brown vomit on her.

Demi Lovato accused Gaga of glamorizing bulumia, but the singer defended her actions. Demi a little too sensitive or do you agree?

The 27-year-old singer sparked outrage when Millie Brown vomited on her during her performance of “Swine” at the SXSW festival on Thursday night.

Gaga explained her act, stating, “Sometimes things that are really strange and feel really wrong can change the world. I’m not saying vomit is going to change the world. What I’m saying is it’s the idea of a moment where it’s truly just what we wanted to create and us just respecting each other as artists was enough for the performance to be worth it.”

Demi Lovato, who has struggled with bulimia, took issue with the “art”. Lovato, 21, tweeted, “As if we didn’t have enough people glamorizing eating disorders already. Bottom line, it’s not ‘cool’ or ‘artsy’ at all.”

Gaga brushed off the accusations, insisting she’s a long-time fan of Millie’s work and loves collaborating with her. Lady Gaga said, “I’ve known Millie for I think like five years now and we’ve actually collaborated before, she was just in town and so we thought we would collaborate again.”

Millie Brown, the girl that did the puking, said, “There’s a clear difference between using my body to create something beautiful, to express myself and feel powerful, rather than using it to punish myself and conform to society’s standards.”

Lovato took to Twitter to add, “No hate, no shade, just love.”

She also tweeted directly at Gaga Friday, writing, “You’re SO talented, if not one of the most talented in our industry PERIOD. Dope is INCREDIBLE.. but you don’t have to do that.”

Lovato added to her fans, “Ps. I’m still a little monster myself.”
