David Arquette has warned Courteney Cox’s new boyfriend Johnny McDaid about the green-eyed monster, telling McDaid to “never ever even look remotely at another woman”.
Arquette and Cox have both moved on to new partners, but Arquette wanted her new boyfriend to avoid making Courteney jealous.
David gave Johnny a heads-up on the “Cougar Town” star’s jealous ways.
He told McDaid to “never ever even look remotely at another woman” unless he wants major problems.
Cox, 49, appears to be getting serious with musician McDaid, 37, as they were recently spotted on vacation in Italy with Courtney’s 9-year-old daughter Coco (from her marriage with David Arquette).
Arquette really likes McDaid and wants things to work out for his daughter Coco’s sake.
An insider said, “When David and Courteney got married in 1999, she insisted on a private agreement that David would never take a role that included a kissing scene. At the time, David was looking at parts that were more comedic in nature anyway, so this wasn’t a big deal when they agreed to it — but he’s convinced it ruined his chances to be a leading man, forcing him to turn down roles — for a full decade — that had even a whiff of romance to them”.
David reportedly told Johnny about the deal and advised him to not take pictures with female fans when on tour with his band Snow Patrol.
David recently appeared on “The Wendy Williams” show and spoke fondly of his ex-wife’s new man.
He said, “My whole thing is that, he’s a great man and to have someone kind, that you trust around your kid is the most important part”.
David is in a relationship with Entertainment Tonight correspondent Christina McLarty and they are expecting a baby boy together in a few months.
The actor said Coco is fine about having a baby brother, as long as she is the boss.
Arquette said, “She was like, ‘I’m gonna be fine with it as long as he worships me.’ She actually said that”.
