Cee Lo Green recently announced his departure from the reality singing competition “The Voice” and now there are rumors the show is ready to drop Christina Aguilera!
Aguilera, who is expecting her second child, have producers worried she won’t be able to handle the demands of filming with a newborn.
Christina is engaged to Matt Rutler and they are expecting their first child together, which was an unplanned pregnancy. But the couple are said to be very excited.
Aguilera, 33, who has a 6-year-old son, Max, with ex-husband Jordan Bratman, is thrilled about giving her son a sibling.
An insider said, “Max has always wanted a little brother or sister. That’s something really exciting to them – that he will have a playmate. Christina is really close to her sister and Matt has siblings so they are so happy that Max will have the same experience.”
But where does that leave Aguilera on “The Voice”?
A source said Christina Aguilera will need to be replaced on Season 7.
“The Voice” premieres its 6th season tonight, with Christina on a break from the judge’s seat this season, but was expected to return in the seventh season.
Mark Burnett, Executive Producer of the show, told reporters at a press conference that “the hardest part [of filming] is the jigsaw puzzle of schedules” and that “no one can be permanent; it depends on their schedules.”
We’d hate to see them get rid of Christina Aguilera because she’s one the reasons we enjoyed watching the show. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
