Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz tour is naughty and crazy, with begins with her sliding out on a super long tongue.
Her shocking antics, which includes miming oral sex on a man in a Bill Clinton mask and loving herself up on the hood of a car, aren’t going over well with some fans.
A new report on MusicFix suggests that Miley’s management has been hit with a slew of complaints since she kicked off her tour in Vancouver last Friday.
A source told the website, “Miley’s management have been flooded with complaints, mainly from parents, since her tour began last week in Canada with calls for the entire tour to be axed. Her team, including management, record label execs and the entire tour staff including the director, costume department and choreographers – have been called for an emergency meeting as arenas across the US threaten to pull out of the show.”
One insider said a a parent contacted Miley’s record company Interscope after they walked out of the concert saying they would not subject their nine-year-old to a “porn show”. Of course, you’d think a parent would already be aware she’s not “Hannah Montana” these days.
Forbes magazine claims demand for Miley Cyrus’ ticket sales have “softened”.
The Bangerz tour will appear in 39 dates in North America and 21 in Europe, ending in mid June.
Cyrus told MTV, “I hope people open their minds and they look at my tour as something that I do feel is educational for kids. Because I think a lot of people aren’t exposed to art enough and that’s something that I had to learn about. It’s a lot how a play would be and we’ve got kind of these intermissions to keep people really involved and what I wanted is for people to see a show that they would least expect.
“I want my fans to walk away knowing more about the art that inspires me. Between the VMAS and unplugged, there’s a hybrid that really makes it about the music. It is fun for people to walk out and be like “Oh my God did she just do that?” but there’s so much that I do love about shock value, but then I really want there to be that core about the music”.
Miley responded to the rumors on Twitter, writing, “You can’t say I didn’t warn you. Now sit back relax & enjoy the show. #bangerztour.”
She added, “Save your complaints for the McDonalds drive thru when they forget the ‘fries with that.'”
