Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto welcomed identical twin daughters Victoria and Ysabel Jordan on Sunday, February 9.
The basketball legend’s wife gave birth to the twins in Florida over the weekend.
Jordan’s spokeswoman Estee Portno confirmed the birth of the twins over the weekend.
Porto stated, “Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival”.
The girls are the couple’s first children together. Michael, 50, has three children – Jeffrey, 24, Marcus James, 22, and daughter Jasmine, 19 — from his previous marriage of 17 years to Juanita Venoy.
Jordan and Yvette, a 34-year-old model, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in April. The couple married at Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea Church and were joined by over 300 guests, which included Robin Thicke, Spike Lee, and Usher.
The basketball legend proposed to Yvette in 2011 over the Christmas holidays. They had been dating for almost three years at the time after meeting at a Miami club in 2008.
The couple confirmed they were expecting their first child in December of 2013.
Congrats to Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto on the arrival of their twin daughters! Double the joy!
