Clint Eastwood is a real-life hero after saving PGA tournament director Steve John from choking during a PGA party.
The actor/director noticed Steve was choking and performed the Heimlich maneuver and saved his life!
John explained, “I was drinking water and eating these little appetizers, threw down a piece of cheese and it just didn’t work. I was looking at him and couldn’t breathe. He recognized it immediately and saved my life.”
Clint said of the incident, “I saw that look in his eyes and saw that look of panic people have when they see their life passing before their eyes. It looked bad. I gave him three good jolts and that got it out. And then I made him drink a big glass of water with a bunch of lemon squeezed in it.”
John said of the actor, “I can’t believe I’m 202 pounds and he threw me up in the air three times”.
Eastwood is a prominent figure at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, formerly as an amateur contestant and now as chairman of the Monterrey Peninsula Foundation. They raised over $100 million for charity as the host of the PGA Tour event.
