It looks like life is getting better for Amanda Bynes these days, with news she has made a plea deal in her DUI arrest from two years ago.
The actress made a plea deal, which includes three years of probation, alcohol education classes, and a fine.
Amanda Bynes pleaded no contest to reckless driving at the LAX Airport courthouse, but was no in attendance. Her attorney, Richard Hutton, made the plea on her behalf.
The former Nickelodeon star was arrested on Apr. 6, 2012 in West Hollywood, California and charged with a DUI after allegedly hitting a cop car.
Bynes had a very public meltdown last year after battling mental illness, but has come a long way.
Last year, Bynes’ mother Lynn was granted conservatorship of her troubled daughter and Amanda seems to be on the road to recovery.
Bynes was released from treatment in December and is “feeling better every day”.
Their family attorney Tamar Arminak said in a statment, “Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day. She’s now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line. Despite the fact Bynes is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to re-establish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”
