Beyonce's sexy Grammys 2014 performance

“White House Down” actress Garcelle Beauvais has some unsolicited advice for singer Beyonce, telling the singer she should “take responsibility” for her sexed-up image.

Beauvais feels Beyonce’s “showing everything and grinding” affects young fans. But Garcelle actually posed totally naked in Playboy 2007. Hmmm…

The 47-year-old mother of three discussed being sexy in her interview with HelloBeautiful.com.

Beauvais stated, “For me, you’re obviously flattered when someone calls you sexy or thinks you’re sexy. But for me now, there’s so many ways to be sexy without being overt about it.”

Garcelle said, “I want to do it in a way that’s more classy. Certain things are just too overt for kids.”

A former model, the actress adds, “I love Beyonce… but, I think there has to be a fine line where you take responsibility for what you do. I think it’s good to be sexy, but sexy can come across in so many different ways. It doesn’t have to be showing out, grinding all of the time.”

She said she thinks sexy includes “a great short dress, but if you have long sleeves and you’re only showing leg. I think you have to stick to a body part and show that. I don’t think you have to show all of it.”

Well, actions speak louder than words. Here’s Garcelle Beauvais in a very NSFW Playboy shoot six years ago.

Garcelle’s Playboy photos are hot, but definitely overtly sexy. Much more revealing than anything we’ve seen from Beyonce thus far!

Fans of Queen Bey responded on Twitter with a few harsh words for Garcelle, who was backtracking on her interview comments.

  1. I see where Garcelle is coming from and it’s actually not hypocritical. Reason Being Is That Playboy IS Specifically A Men’s Magazine. You know what you’re getting. With Beyonce, so many people of all different ages come to see her in concert, and Beyonce is way more popular that Garcelle ever was so more eyes and more kids are looking up to Beyonce.
