Firefighters responded to a call at a Melbourne hotel over a false alarm in the room of Big Day Out headliner Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion.
South Melbourne firefighters Owen Sullivan, James Kemp, and Trevor Bowen had not been expecting to meet the rapper, who is in town to perform at the Big Day Out at the Showgrounds.
Bowen stated, “We received an automated alarm call to a Melbourne hotel and while we were there to investigate Snoop spoke to us. He was pretty funny, a really nice guy. If you didn’t know that he was someone famous you would just think he was a really nice guy.”
Officer Bowen said Snoop asked for a photo with the firefighters because he had “always wanted to be a firefighter”.
Snoop took to his Instagram account to post pictures of himself with the firefighters.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, made headlines this week when he posted a picture of himself in a Gold Coast hotel sitting next to a fruit platter and a huge bowl of marijuana.
He captioned the photo, “A Versace breakfast!” Obviously the breakfast of champions.
