“She Bangs” singer Ricky Martin has called time on his relationship with partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella.
The 42-year-old singer dated the stock broker for three years, but mutually decided to end their romance.
Martin’s rep issued a statement saying, “Ricky and Carlos have mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be united by friendship and their shared experiences”.
Ricky Martin appeared to hint about their split on Twitter around the Holidays.
On Christmas day, he tweeted, “Just because the lesson comes from someone you love, does not mean it is correct.”

The couple began dating in 2010, the same year that Ricky came out as gay on his official website.
On March 29, 2010, Martin wrote, “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am”.
In 2011, he thanked Carlos during his acceptance speech of the Vito Russo Award at the GLAAD Media Awards ceremony.
Ricky became a father to twins in 2008 via a surrogate.
The Puerto Rican hunk mentioned Carlos during an interview with Ellen Degeneres in September, but made no mention of any relationship problems.
