Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh have announced their engagement, just weeks after welcoming a daughter into the world.
The couple showed off their precious baby girl and revealed their engagement news in OK! magazine.
Emily, 23, was very surprised when Peter, 40, got down on one knee in the nursery the day before she gave birth.
She said, “It was such a shock. He always said he’d like to do it before the baby was born and I just thought he’d do it after – I was happy, I didn’t need a ring, but it was amazing.”
Peter added, “She said, ‘Are you serious?’ and burst into tears – it was so emotional. We lay down in the nursery for ages because it was such a special room to us.”
The singer had the engagement ring created for Emily, which took six weeks to complete.
Emily said of her bling, “It’s so sparkly, I love it!”
Emily gave birth to their daughter, her first child with father-of-two Peter, at 3pm on 7th January after a four-hour trip to the hospital.
She said of her difficult labor, “I’m proud of myself for getting through it. I pulled a lot of Pete’s hair out, but he’s got enough to spare. I was so happy she was healthy, it was amazing. I was looking at her perfect form and little fingernails. I kept thinking, how did we make that?”
Peter Andre said, “I’d never seen anything like it, I was crying the whole way through the labor. As soon as I saw her I was a mess and crying like a baby. It was such a beautiful experience.”
Congrats to the happy couple on their baby girl and engagement!
