Actress Olivia Munn was rumored to be ruining the atmosphere on the set of “The Newsroom”.
But Olivia Munn defended herself against the claims, calling it BS on her Twitter account. But is she causing trouble on the set of the show?
The 33-year-old beauty lashed out on Twitter about the reports, with the creator of the HBO series, Aaron Sorkin, coming to her defense saying she is a “perfect cast member”.
Munn tweeted, “Sucks 2 read bullsh*t” that’s perpetuated on blogosphere. But feels so great 2 have friends like this who stick up 4 u.”
Sorkin said the rumors “bear no resemblance to reality”. He adds, “Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO and especially by me.”
RadarOnline had published a story that claimed Munn’s relationship with Sorkin had deteriorated to the point of creating a “poisonous atmosphere” on set.
Their insider stated, “Olivia and Aaron’s relationship soured so completely during season two of The Newsroom that it created a poisonous atmosphere on the set. It affected the entire show because Olivia was written to be such a prominent player this season. But by the end of the long shoot, Aaron and Jeff were barely speaking to her, and you can expect that in the third season, her role will be greatly diminished.”
Olivia Munn plays Sloan Sabbith, a finance reporter on the HBO series, who is often at odds with Jeff Daniels’ character Will McAvoy.
Jeff Daniels has previously confirmed that “The Newsroom” will be returning for a third season, but others say the future of the show is uncertain.
Munn recently appeared on the hit sitcom “New Girl”.
