J.R. Martinez, the Iraq war vet who was the winner on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2011, has ended his relationship with Diana Gonzalez-Jones.
The 30-year-old “All My Children” star had just welcomed a baby girl 18 months ago.
A source revealed, “J.R. called his team together on Dec. 30 to discuss the breakup and how they planned to handle it with the media. They didn’t talk about why the two broke up, but more how this would affect J.R.’s image. The shock breakup comes less than two years after the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Lauryn Anabelle Martinez”.
Did being in show business change J.R. or is there a third party involved?
One source said, “Gonzalez-Jones is taking primary care of their child in the wake of the split.”
Diana was often seen cheering on her boyfriend in the audience as he competed with professional dance partner Karina Smirnoff on “Dancing With The Stars”.
J.R. and Diana met in 2008 on the set of “All My Children” and started dating two years later.
J.R. Martinez recently posted on Facebook, “People change its a part of life, but sometimes its easier to hold on to the memories of who they were rather then to realize who they have become” [sic] .
He adds, “Our lifetime offers us unlimited opportunities for spiritual growth until the end, The Road Less Traveled. M. Scott Peck.”
