David Cassidy could be facing jail time after being arrested for a third time for DUI.
The former “Partridge Family” teen idol was pulled over in Los Angeles on Friday after he was caught making an illegal right turn on the highway.
Cassidy was pulled over and the police officer smelled alcohol.
The 63-year-old singer was asked to take a field sobriety test which showed he was more than twice the legal limit. He blew a .19 on the test and was booked and released on $15,000 bail.
The legal limit in California is 0.08 per cent
This arrest comes just months after a similar incident occurred in Albany, New York. Cassidy was stopped for driving with his full lights on and failed a sobriety test administered by the officer.
In 2011, he had his driver’s license suspended for six months after pleading ‘no contest’ to driving while drunk.
The actor was sentenced to a year’s probation and ordered to complete 50 hours of community service by a Florida court.
During that arrest, the actor failed to follow the officer’s instructions and a half empty bottle of bourbon was found under one of his seats. He claimed he had only had one glass of wine and had taken the drug hydrocone, a painkiller.
