Good news for Fleetwood Mac fans! Christine McVie has rejoined the band.
The band have confirmed the former member, who left in 1998, has returned and they are in the process of lining up a tour.
In a statement to Billboard magazine, the band said, “Christine McVie has indeed rejoined Fleetwood Mac and we are hoping to make an announcement about a possible tour for the full tilt Macsters some time in 2014.”
The now 70-year-old singer joined the rock band , which includes Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, for their London shows last year and later expressed interest in reuniting with her old friends.
Christine McVie said, “I like being with the band, the whole idea of playing music with them. I miss them all.”
Christine, who was previously married to John McVie until 1976, wrote some of their most popular songs including “Little Lies” and “Don’t Stop”.
Fleetwood Mac was forced to cancel their 14 date tour of Australia and New Zealand last year after John was diagnosed with cancer.
Christine said her ex-husband is doing well. She stated, “He’s having his treatment in LA right now, but they caught it really early so he should be up and running in a couple of months.”
