DoSomething.org has released their list of the Hollywood stars considered the most giving, helping out the under-privileged.
It’s wonderful to see celebrities that feel blessed to have fame and money that want to help others less fortunate. Let’s see who made the list!

10. Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood has had a very busy year, but still found time to give back. The country singer donated $1 million to the Red Cross from her “Blown Away Tour” to help with disaster relief after her home state of Oklahoma was devastated by deadly tornadoes earlier this year.
9. Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest is the host of everything these days. He hosts a radio show, American Idol, game show Million Second Quiz, and Rockin’ New Year’s Eve.
But Ryan has managed to find time to put together The Ryan Seacrest Foundation that give kids in hospitals the chance to feel like a star for a day.
8. Ian Somerhalder
“Vampire Diaries” hunk Ian Somerhalder has his own foundation that helps to “empower, educate, and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures.”
The actor is an outspoken environmentalist and animal rights activist has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for his cause. We thank him for his generosity and good looks!
7. Kerry Washington
“Scandal” actress, who serves on President Obama’s committee of Arts and Humanities, is an advocate for arts education in low-income areas.
6. Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock, who was named Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of the Year, was also honored with the Mothers Who Make a Difference Award and the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Humanitarian” for her ongoing efforts in disaster relief and education.
5. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Rapper Ryan Lewis and Macklemore have had huge hit songs, with “Thrift Shop” becoming a hit that you couldn’t get out of your head. His track “Same Love” helped to challenge the rap community to adopt a culture of acceptance of gay and lesbian people. They were also awarded the VMA for “Best Video With a Social Message.”
4. Paul Walker
“Fast & Furious” star Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car crash last month, had dedicated lots of his time helping others.
Walker founded a charity called Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW), which is a network of professionals with first responder skills to help fill immediate needs in times of “chaos, tragedy, and destruction.”
Beyonce is a busy mom and her music career is in full swing, but the bootylicious singer also helps those in need. She gave back by headlining London’s charity concert for women’s rights, “Chime For Change” this year.
2. One Direction
British boy band One Direction have used their popularity to help others in need. The band released a Red Nose Day track, which raised over $1 million to help people in Africa and the UK that are living in severe poverty. They also helped bag over $784,345 in donations for cancer research.
1. Taylor Swift
Singer Taylor Swift may write songs bashing her ex-boyfriends, but she has used her fame to help others in need.
Swift recently celebrated her 24th birthday by donating $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony, which has faced dire financial problems this year. Swift also headlined an event benefiting Centrepoint, that helps young people that are homeless.
Taylor has also fronted therapy sessions for bullied fans and met with seriously ill fans.
