Kim Basinger has landed a modeling contract at the age of 60.
The “Grudge Match” actress will reportedly do some mother-daughter photoshoots in the future.
The contract comes on the heels of her daughter Ireland saying her mother was incredibly young-looking for her age.
Ireland said, “She looks like she’s my age. Her body, I swear, it’s scary.”
Kim Basinger, who is best known for playing a Bond girl in “Never Say Never Again” and for her steamy role in “9 1/2 Weeks”, said she has always encouraged her daughter to follow her dreams.
Kim told People magazine recently, “She grew up in the limelight but I tried to provide stability and a quieter world. You just want them to follow their own path, and she totally did this on her own. I think she wanted to stick her foot in [to the modelling world] and see what it would bring. And she’s doing extremely well.”
Kim has modeled previously, after winning the Junior Miss Georgia beauty pageant when she was younger. At 16, she was signed to Ford Agency in New York and spent five years modelling, even landing a stint as the face of Breck shampoo.
Ivan Bart, senior VP and managing director of IMG Models, told Variety, “We are proud to be working with a distinguished and talented actress such as Kim Basinger. Kim has a powerful appeal on screen that will lend itself as a strong asset for us to seek innovative partnerships across the modeling and entertainment platform for Kim.”
