Dina Eastwood Opens Up About Split With Clint Eastwood (VIDEOS)

Dina Eastwood opens up about split

Dina Eastwood is speaking out for the first time publicly about her divorce and “fairytale” marriage to actor and director Clint Eastwood.

Dina appeared on Betheny Frankel’s talk show, opening up about all the gossip surrounding her split.

Dina stated that she is currently coping with the split day by day after filing for divorce after being married for 17 years.

She also touched on the rumors of infidelity in the marriage.

Eastwood said, “When I was talking to one of your staff last night I had never heard myself say that but yeah she asked what my plans were and I said, “My plan is to not cry for three days at a time”.

Clint’s estranged wife also admitted that the separation was rather unexpected.

She revealed, “I never thought it would happen to me. Nobody does, but if it ever happened to me I better start taking classes at the community college to see what I’m good at”.

In October, the former news reporter filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. She is said to be seeking physical custody of their daughter, Morgan. She has also reportedly requested spousal support and her attorney fees be paid by the 83-year-old star.

Dina is now moving on, but its the worst thing she’s ever been through. She said, “It’s so cliché to say that, but yes. Yeah absolutely”.

She said of the legendary actor, “[Clint’s] lovely, he hasn’t done much. It’s other people around him have done things that have blown me away and again my future ex-husband has done nothing. He’s probably the sweetest guy I’ve ever met. He is the sweetest, he is a loving, kind, low-key person so my intuition was still great on marrying a good person.”

Bethenny asked if there was any chance Dina and Clint could reconcile and she replied, “no”.

She told Bethenny, “That is why I filed for divorce. I think maybe a part of me was holding out, like ‘What are we doing here?’ Then there have been some definite signs that we’re not going to get back together so let’s move on amicably is my opinion, but I think there is a mental chokehold on you when you don’t have something in place that shows you are definitely apart.”

Dina Eastwood said the marital split was the “worst thing” she’d ever been through – refused to accept any rumors of infidelity, despite it being reported that she was “devastated” that Clint is now dating her former friend Erica Tomlinson-Fisher.

She simply said of the cheating rumors, “I don’t think you can call any infidelity or cheating or anything like that when we are already living separately, same house, but separately you’re living estranged so I have no intention of ever saying that, no”.
