Willie Nelson’s band bus crashed on I-30 overnight in Texas, near Sulphur Springs at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Three of Willie’s band members were hospitalized.
The bus that crashed was not Willie Nelsons, but the bus carrying other band members.
Texas State Trooper Sylvia Jennings stated there were six people on board. The bus driver encountered high winds and heavy rain, losing control of the bus and striking a bridge pillar about 80 miles east of Dallas.
Band member Robert English is reportedly the most seriously injured, with reports of a broken hip. Band members Billy English and Thomas Hawkins have cuts and bruises. All three were taken to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
This year’s Willie Nelson tour has been suspended indefinitely. We will post more when it becomes available.
