Alec Baldwin has been fired by MSNBC, following his profane and homophobic rants at photographers.
Alec has yet to comment on being given the axe, but sources reveal his ratings weren’t good anyway.
His weekly show, “Up Late With Alec Baldwin”, is over barely before it started. We told you last week that his latest hotheaded behavior would probably result in his show’s cancellation.
An insider said, “The decision has been made. He’s gone,. The [parent company] Comcast guys have decided. Word is spreading through the building.”
Baldwin’s dismissal was also partly due to his diva attitude towards his co-workers.
He alienated staff members and demanded a separate makeup room being used by a woman with cancer who is sensitive to hairspray.
Baldwin’s request was denied and he reportedly yelled, “I don’t give a f ** k if she has cancer or not, I want that f ** king makeup room.”
Alec’s show’s ratings were low, with his last show bringing in just 395,000 total viewers.
One of the actor’s reps didn’t seem to like to use the word “fire”, but did confirm the show is over. He stated, “The show is not coming back. He had questions on whether he wanted to continue.”
