We love being entertained by celebrities, whether it be music, television shows, or movies. But most of us find it annoying and a turn-off when celebrities talk about politics.
Some Hollywood stars are very outspoken about political matters, especially with access to social media these days. Let find out which celebs lean to the left and which lean to the right. Some are surprising!
Celebrities in Hollywood are predominantly Democrats and certainly don’t shy away from supporting Obama and his agenda.
These liberal stars encourage everyone to enroll in Obamacare despite the exorbitant rates and technical issues. Why should they care? Most aren’t living paycheck-to-paycheck like many Americans. Many people won’t be able to afford an extra $400 (or more) a month for insurance, but if you don’t you’ll have the money deducted from your income tax refund as punishment for not getting insurance. How in the world is this fair when people already living off the government with no job will be supplied insurance from the state?

Obamacare is failing miserably and only 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during healthcare.gov’s first week online. The Congressional Budget Office said it needs at least 7 million people enrolled during the six-month open enrollment period to keep the massive new health care law financially stable.
Obama’s administration enlisted celebrities including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Olivia Wilde, John Legend, Alyssa Milano, Kerry Washington, Sarah Silverman, Julianne Moore to encourage people to sign up for the forced insurance plans.
Here are some Democrat celebrities that adore Obama:
Let’s check out some Hollywood celebrities and see who leans left and who leans to the right:
“Die Hard” actor Bruce Willis is not a member of the Republican party but does say, “I’m a Republican only as far as I want a smaller government, I want less government intrusion”.
“Rocky” star Sylvester Stallone leans to the right. He voiced his support for John McCain in 2008.
Gwyneth Paltrow definitely leans toward the left. Gwyneth threw Obama a celebrity-filled fundraiser at her London home in 2011.
“Good Will Hunting” star Matt Damon is a Democrat and a very outspoken supporter of Barack Obama in 2008, but it seems he’s had a change of heart. In fact, Damon told CNN that Obama has disappointed him.
Robert Downey Jr.
We were a little surprised to hear Robert Downey Jr. is Republican. The “Iron Man” actor previously stated, “I have a really interesting political point of view, and it’s not always something I say too loud at dinner tables here. But you can’t go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary, and really understand it, and come out a liberal.”
George Clooney is a total Democrat. In fact, Clooney has often spoken fondly of Obama. The actor told reporters that Obama has an “aura of a rock star. He walks into the room, and he takes your breath away. I’d love him to be president, quite honestly”.
KISS rocker Gene Simmons actually voted for Barack Obama in 2008, but changed his mind in 2012. The rocker said of Obama, “I like the president’s heart but I don’t think he has the qualification.” He also said Obama’s economic philosophy was a “disaster”.
“Black Swan” actress Mila Kunis is a Democrat, who was named Esquire’s sexiest woman in 2012. In her interview, she said she didn’t think Republicans were sexy. She stated, “The way that Republicans attack women is so offensive to me. And the way they talk about religion is offensive. I may not be a practicing Jew, but why we gotta talk about Jesus all the time? ”
Snoop Dogg voted for Obama in 2012, writing on social media that he voted for him because he’s “mad cool yo” and “He’s BFFs with Jay-Z”. Yeah those are some great reasons!
Here’s Snoop’s NSFW profane comments.
Chuck Norris is a staunch Republican and major critic of President Barack Obama. In a previous interview, Norris said the state of Texas needs to secede from the current “secular government.”
Does it bother you when Democrat or Republican celebrities speak out? Do they actually influence you one way or another or just make you not want to see their films?
