Miley Cyrus visited Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, with the host referencing giving her a bachelorette party with strippers last year.
Miley laughed and said, “I should’ve kept one of those dudes numbers. That would’ve come in handy now.”
Ellen asked her about her split with Liam Hemsworth, which is actually the first time Miley Cyrus has talked about it publicly.
Cyrus said, “It’s not really as awkward because I’m living it. So I think people spend more time actually thinking about it then I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That’s kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time, that my energy hasn’t really been focused on that.”
The singer confirmed that her new album is all about her relationship with Liam.
Miley said, “I’ve been impressed with people who have shown respect for me right now. From what I’ve seen, people have focused on my music right now. I don’t want to sacrifice what I’m working for to overshadow that. The whole album was a story about that. From “Adore You” to “Someone Else,” you can find an arc of growth. It’s telling a story”.
Ellen asked if Miley had seen Liam since they ended their engagement.
She answered, “I haven’t gotten to see anyone right now. I’m letting that chapter close. When I say I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, it’s not a dig. I’m happy with myself. It’s separating from someone else to really be happy with who you are. I’m alone right now, and I’m obsessed with being alone”.
Miley definitely is closing that chapter in her life. A charity store truck was spotted at her home this week and she had her assistant give Liam’s clothing away.
