Miley Cyrus has been slammed for her half-naked raunchy style the past few months, appearing on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine talking about her “haters”.
Miley called herself a “cool punk rock underdog” in her interview with the publication.
She tells the magazine’s December issue, “Everything is so chaotic and crazy right now…I’m literally what everyone is talking about. I don’t want to say that I’m on top right now – I feel like I’m kind of an underdog in a cool way. It’s almost punk rock to like me because it’s not the right thing to do. Like, society wants to shut me down.”
The 20-year-old claims to be surprised at the criticism of her VMA performance, where she inappropriately touched married Robin Thicke with a foam finger.
Miley told the magazine, “When people started complaining about the awards show, I was like, ‘Have you never seen the f***ing video?’ And what if I hadn’t done that performance? The VMAs would have been bad. They would have been missing something. The show was kind of making fun of how serious the pop industry is.”
Miley sure thinks highly of herself huh?
Cyrus said her career is her main focus right now.
She said, “I need to treat my music like a relationship – give it my time and all the attention it deserves – and that’s my main love right now. This is the best time of my life. I’m not going to look back on it and be like, ‘I wish I hadn’t been dwelling over a breakup,’ you know? Because that’s not what God wants my life to be about right now.”
Miley Cyrus, along with Alec Baldwin, crashed the stage of “SNL” last night where Edward Norton was hosting. The duo appeared to give Norton a little hosting advice.
Miley Cyrus also announced to her fans that she’s heading out on tour in 2014. Baldwin promoted his new talk show.
Miley also did a short cameo in the skit for “12 Days Not A Slave”, where Jay Pharoah played a slave that finds life pretty tense with whites even though he was recently freed. in which a slave — played by Jay Pharoah – freed by the Emancipation Proclamation finds out that things are still pretty tense between him and white people.
Edward Norton warns Pharoah, “Listen — do not let white people see you dance. Once they see you dance they will try to dance like you!”
Jay responds, “What!? What do you mean? They’ll never be able to dance like me”.
The camera cuts to Miley dressed up in an old-fashioned dress as she starts twerking.
