Terrence Howard has been involved in a nasty war-of-words with his ex-wife Michelle Ghent.
The latest craziness involves Terrence allegedly calling himself “Satan” and “the Antichrist” and threatening to commit suicide during their fight in April.
Michelle Ghent made the claims in a new filing against the Oscar nominated actor after a judge granted her a temporary restraining order last month.
The couple divorced in May, but took a vacation together with several of Howard’s family members to Costa Rica at the end of July.
Ghent claims Terrence Howard assaulted her. He claims that Michelle maced him, his adult daughter, and another family member. But no charges were filed.
Michele obtained a restraining order against her ex-husband, claiming he “slugged” her across the face and threatened to toss her off a balcony.
Now Ghent is saying that Howard threatened to commit suicide during a planned reconciliation after she found the phone numbers of six women in his bag on April 23. She said he denied knowing anything about the numbers so she called the women and put them on speakerphone.
Howard allegedly threw Ghent’s laptop out of a window and grabbed her arm, causing her to fall on the hardwood floor. He then picked her up by her sweatpants and shirt so he could throw her down again.
After that alleged incident, he threatened to kill himself and her.
Michelle Ghent’s filing states, “He grabbed an X-Acto blade and put it to his wrist as if to cut himself. He then reached for the belt on his robe and displayed attempts to hang himself”.
Michelle said he told her, “I’m just thinking if I should kill you first before killing me”.
In a text message on April 27, Howard wrote, “If this is goodbye, then I hate everything and will now use my gifts to destroy mankind…I will become Satan Himself! You were my last chance to love. I will now Hate in all things and seek my vengeance upon Humanity for all the wrongs ever done to me!! You just killed the last grain of light within me. Now the darkness has begun! I hate all things because of you! The Antichrist is Here!”
Yes, that is a little creepy!
A hearing for an extension on Michelle Ghent’s order of protection is scheduled for September 25. The court records became public after she filed for the order, and Howard said that she filed when she did so it would coincide with the premiere of The Butler.
Terrence Howard said Ghent is trying to “ruin” his reputation and career, but he was also accused of abuse by his first wife, Lori McCommas.
