Miley Cyrus no regrets on naughty VMA show

Miley Cyrus doesn’t give a darn if you approved of her controversial performance at the MTV VMAs just over a week ago.

Miley has now broken her silence to talk about grinding up on Robin Thicke in an interview with MTV news. Check it out!

In her interview with MTV, the 20-year-old compared herself to Madonna and Britney Spears, who also made headlines when they kissed on the lips 10 years ago at the 2003 VMAs.

The “We Can’t Stop” singer also revealed that Robin Thicke was aware of what she had in store and both knew “they were about to make history”.

Miley, with her 60-year-old lady-sounding voice, stated, “I don’t pay attention to the negative because I have seen this play out. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music? You know now… you know what’s happened. Madonna’s done it, Britney’s done it. Every VMA performance, anyone that performs…that’s what you are looking for.

“You wanting to make history. Me and Robin the whole time said “You know you are about to make history right now?”

Miley Cyrus also adds that she loves that people are still talking about her raunchy performance.

Cyrus stated, “It is an amazing thing that I think now it is three days later and people are still talking about it”.

What about her critics? Miley believes they are “over-thinking it”. She adds, “They’re over thinking it. You’re thinking more about it than when I did it. Like I didn’t even think about it because that is just me”.

Miley is currently drumming up publicity for her new album Bangerz, releasing promotional images for the record last week.

The new album is set for release on October 8 and includes Miley’s hit single “We Can’t Stop” and her new song “Wrecking Ball”.
