Actor Johnathon Schaech, who recently revealed he and Julie Solomon had secretly tied the knot last July on the beach, have welcomed their first child.
Julie, a music and book publicist, gave birth to a son named Camden Quinn on Thursday.
The couple welcomed their baby boy, who weighed in a 7 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 inches in length.
Schaech explained his son’s name choice, stating, “Julie came up with ‘Camden’ – she had no idea my hometown team played at Camden Yards. We have my team pennant hanging up in the baby room”.
They chose the middle name Quinn in honor of Julie’s late grandmother’s maiden name.
Johnathon Schaech revealed he had been getting some practice in caring for newborns while playing his role on the Showtime series “Ray Donovan”.
His co-star on the show, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” actor Liev Schreiber, taught him how to hold up the baby’s head and to “support the baby at the back of the neck, so the head doesn’t move so much.”
Schaech also stated he thinks he will be a good father to his son because of the way his parents raised him, instilling values in him as he grew up in Edgewood, Maryland.
The 44-year-old actor said, “They instilled faith in me”.
Congrats to Johnathon and Julie on their newborn son!
