Clint Eastwood’s second wife Dina has filed for legal separation from the actor and director after 17 years of marriage.

In her petition, the 48-year-old former reporter requests spousal support and physical custody of the couple’s 16-year-old daughter Morgan.

The Monterey County Herald reports that the petition states that she and the 83-year-old actor had a prenuptial agreement. Smart thinking Clint!

The Eastwoods have been married since 1996 and lived in Carmel, California, where Dina invited cameras into her home for the E! reality show “Mrs. Eastwood & Company” that aired in 2012.

Clint was rarely shown on the reality show and insiders reveal the actor wasn’t pleased in the least.

Clint Eastwood and Dina’s split was announced late last month, but the couple began living apart in June 2012.

Sources reveal things went from bad to worse when Dina started filming her reality show. Dina often complained about her life and cried in a couple of episodes.

There were signs things in their relationship were amiss when Dina checked into rehab for treatment for “anxiety and depression” earlier this year.

Just last week it was revealed Dina began hooking up with her former high school sweetheart Scott Fisher. Shortly thereafter Clint was photographed spending time with Scott’s ex-wife Erica Tomlinson-Fisher.

Eastwood married his first wife Maggie Johnson just six months after they met on a blind date. They were married for ten years and divorced in 1984.

The actor moved on to actress Sondra Locke and they lived together for 14 years and they co-starred together in several movies.

During his relationship with Locke, Eastwood fathered two children with a flight attendant named Jacelyn Reeves.
