The cast of the new Superman movie is getting more and more interesting, especially now that we’ve learned Bryan Cranston will be playing the villain Lex Luthor!
The actor, know as Hal in “Malcolm in the Middle” and Heisenberg in “Breaking Bad”, will be trying his best to take down Superman.
Cranston has been cast as the super-villain, alongside Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill returning as Superman.
Many people weren’t too thrilled with the choice of Ben Affleck as the caped crusader, but we’re pretty sure “Breaking Bad” fans will be thrilled to see Cranston in the sequel to “Man of Steel”.
The 57-year-old actor is just awesome in the AMC show, where he plays a science teacher with cancer who became a meth cook.
We’re betting Bryan Cranston will be just as awesome in the role of Lex Luthor, who is always seeking to kill off Superman.
Cranston’s Lex Luthor will appear in more than just the Man Of Steel sequel. There are reports there will be a six-appearance deal so Cranston will be seen in other DC Comic’s films.
Lex Luthor first appeared in Action Comics in April 1940, and the character has gone through several interpretations over the years.
Luthor was shown as a mad scientist and later as a white-collar bad guy. One thing that never changes is his desire to seek revenge on his archnemesis.
Other stars rumored to be cast in the upcoming film include Matt Damon as Aquaman or Martian Manhunter.
