Wild and crazy rockers The Bloodhound Gang normally do a routine stunt where “Evil” Jared Hasselhoff puts a country’s flag down his pants and tosses it to the crowd.
Russians didn’t find the flag desecration funny at all and the band members were attacked at the airport and kicked out of the country. See it go down here!
The bassist for the group, Evil Jared Hasselhoff, got the band into hot water when he stuffed the Russian flag down his pants at a show in Ukraine.
Hasselhoff’s little flossing incident was caught on camera and Russian officials were not amused to say the least.
The bassist told the crowd “Don’t tell Putin” before wiping the flag on his groin and then passed it between his legs before tossing it to the audience. Russia’s state-run RIA Novosti news agency identifying Hasselhoff as the culprit and blacklisted the band from performing in the country again.
The Bloodhound Gang was scheduled to perform in Russia over the weekend at the Kubana music festival.
Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky Tweeted on Friday, “Talked to Krasnodar territory leadership. Bloodhound Gang packing suitcases. These idiots won’t perform in Kubana.”
The band arrived at the Anapa airport in Krasnodar Krai on Saturday and had a nasty welcome by Russian nationalists.
The band members were “beaten up” by a crowd of men, he said, who punched and kicked them. Some of the attackers even had whips.
One man tried to smother one of the band members with an American flag.
There were no serious injuries and the band and its entourage left the country.
Most of us know The Bloodhound Gang from their hit song “Bad Touch”:
