Actress Natasha Henstridge has filed for divorce from husband Darius Campbell just two years after getting married.
The 38-year-old “Species” hottie married the former “Pop Idol” contestant, 32, in a top secret ceremony on Valentin’s Day in 2011.
Natasha decided to end the marriage and Darius is moving his things out of their marital home.
Campbell confirmed the split, saying, “We decided to file for divorce and we ask for privacy at this time. We filed the divorce papers today. It was a mutual decision”.
A friend close to the couple said they had been fighting over financial issues.
Natasha wrote on her Twitter page Wednesday morning, “Stranded from my own house and yet apparently that’s where I’m supposedly living right now….. Truth always prevails”. She was apparently not pleased she was having to stay with a friend until Darius moved his belongings out.
Natasha and Darius married after dating for seven years with Henstridge’s two sons – Tristan and Asher as their witnesses when they married.
Natasha and Darius met on a crosswalk in 2004 and married at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara in 2011.
The actress was first married to actor Damian Chapa from 1995 until 1996. She then had two sons with actor Liam Waite. Tristan is now 14, while Asher is 11.
Darius Campbell found fame by appearing on the British reality show “Pop Idol” in 2002, later launching a singing career in musicals.
Campbell is heading back to his native U.K. following his split from Natasha Henstridge after landing the lead role in a new West End musical. He will star in “From Here to Eternity”, which starts in September.
Natasha will next be seen in the movie “The Bronx Bull” out later this year.
Natasha Henstridge and Darius Campbell were last spotted in public together on their second anniversary on Valentine’s Day.
The couple rode in a rose-covered coach for a romantic dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s steak restaurant Cut in Beverly Hills.
