Denise Richards reportedly wants to secure sole custody of Brooke Mueller’s four-year-old twins.
The 42-year-old actress was granted temporary guardianship of Brooke and Charlie Sheen’s twin sons, Bob and Max, in May. She now would like to keep them permanently.
The twins were removed from Brooke Mueller’s care by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services amid allegations that Brooke’s drug use had created an unsafe environment”.
A custody hearing will be held in Los Angeles in two weeks and a source said, “(Denise) is prepared to tell the judge she would love to keep the boys permanently”.
Another source reveals, “Denise has been essentially raising the boys since last summer. She loves the boys as if they were her own”.
Denise is believed to have the full support of her ex-husband Charlie, with whom she has two daughters, eight-year-old Lola and nine-year-old Sam.
Charlie Sheen offered to pay Denise Richards extra child support for caring for his twins but she declined.
The source said, “Charlie is 100 percent supportive of Denise raising the twins, and he feels she would be the best possible mother they could have. The twins are a part of Denise’s family, and they love being with their sisters. It’s a very happy household. It gets a bit chaotic, but Denise can handle it”.
Social workers have been happy with the care the boys have received from Denise.
She began keeping the boys while 35-year-old Brooke re-entered rehab for the 21st time!
Charlie recently made a legal bid to stop Brooke’s $55,000 per month child support payments, which he said are really going towards her rehab stints.
The “Anger Management” star filed legal documents claiming he should not have have to pay child support to Brooke since she doesn’t have custody of Max and Bob.
