Cory Monteith died “drug toxicity”, a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol, it has been revealed.

The British Columbia Coroners Service revealed the autopsy results on Tuesday.

The popular “Glee” actor, who was found dead in his hotel room on Saturday at the age of 31, died from a “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol” according to authorities.

His death is believed to be accidental, according to the findings released Tuesday.

The British Columbia Coroners Service stated, “There is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident,” the report stated. “Mr. Monteith’s family has been made aware of the circumstances surrounding the death. On behalf of the family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.”

Cory Monteith, 31, was found dead Saturday afternoon in a hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he had spent a week.

After Monteith failed to check out on time, hotel staff went to his room and found the actor deceased. Police ruled out foul play from the start of the investigation.

Authorities refused to go into specifics about the the case but when asked if drugs were found in Cory’s hotel room they replied, “There was evidence in the room that was consistent of a drug overdose”.

There are claims Cory Monteith led a rather “double life” as a popular actor in LA and a drug addict when he would return to Canada.

Cory Monteith would visit the area of Vancouver that has “an open air drug market”, where drugs are peddled at every corner.

Insiders reveal you can find coke, crystal meth and speedballs (heroin and cocaine mixed) easily in that location.

Monteith was due to begin working on the fifth season of the Fox show in two weeks.

The actor has been open about his struggles with drug addiction, but seemed happy and to be doing well recently.

Our hearts go out to the family, Lea Michele, his friends, and all of his “Glee” fans.

Update: Lea Michele’s rep issued a statement, saying, “Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans,” a rep for Michele tells Us. “Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”
