Jane Lynch and wife, psychologist Dr. Lara Embry, have split after three years of marriage.
The “Glee” star made the sad announcement today, asking for privacy just a day after she performed at the Tony Awards.
Lynch, 52, and Embry, 44, issued a statement on their divorce plans, saying, “Lara and I have decided to end our marriage. This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter.”
Embry was noticeably absent from Lynch’s side at Sunday’s Tony Awards. Lynch, who is currently starring as Miss Hannigan in “Annie: The Musical”, performed at Sunday’s Tony Awards in New York.
Jane Lynch plays the role of coach Sue Sylvester on the popular television show “Glee”.
The funny actress has also appeared on the big screen in comedies including “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”, “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”, “Role Models”, and “The Three Stooges”.
