Melissa Gilbert & Timothy Busfield Getting Married!


Actress Melissa Gilbert, who is best known for her role as Laura Ingalls Wilder in “Little House on the Prarie”, is set to marry “The West Wing” star Timothy Busfield.

The couple became engaged over the Christmas holidays and celebrated their upcoming wedding during a lavish party at Mr. Chow in Los Angeles on Monday.

A source said that Gilbert, 48, and Busfield, 55, “They got engaged over the holidays. They’ve known each other for quite some time, as their paths have crossed off-and-on over the past 20 years.”

Melissa Gilbert starred on “Dancing with the Stars” for season 14 in 20012, paired with hottie Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She suffered a mild concussion during a fall in week four, returning to compete until she was eliminated in week eight.

Timothy Busfield is probably best known for his role as Eliot Weston on the television series “Thirtysomething” and his recurring role as Danny Concannon on the television series “The West Wing.

This will be the third marriage for both Melissa and Timothy. Let’s hope the third time is a charm!

Gilbert was married to actor/director Bo Brinkman in 1988. They had one son before divorcing in 1992. She went on to wed actor Bruce Boxleitner in 1995 with whom she also has a son. Gilbert filed for divorce from Boxleitner in 2011.

Busfield, who has three children of his own, was previously wed to Radha Delmarter and Jenny Meriwin.
